World Stage is a new international performing arts festival based in Bristol, supported by Arts Council England. This year World Stage brings internationally renowned artists from around the world to our city for a four day, July event that will attract visitors from across the country. World Stage will become an annual festival that makes a brave statement to our city, our region and our country about the power of live arts to enrich our lives, inspire young people and shape our future. Vision An annual-festival of international acclaim, which champions our city’s engagement in rich and audacious live arts experiences for all ages. Mission To establish World Stage as a platform for artists and teachers to collaborate with young and new audiences in a celebration of the live arts’ experience. Goals • To programme World Stage to attract audiences of all ages and from all communities • To build a self-sustaining creative development and engagement programme throughout the year • To establish an international reputation for excellence
